Iwona has many years of practical experience as an Attorney at Law in commercial law. Her main areas of expertise include: contracts law, claims collaterals, consumer protection, financial instruments and securities, payment services, personal data protection, international private law, restructuration and bankruptcy, as well as company law. The sectors that she provides her services are banking and finance (including NewTech, FinTech, DeFi), trade and services (including trading platforms), and real estate sector. 

Iwona is external legal advisor to banks. For a number of years, as of counsel for a large law firm, she provided day-by-day legal services to one of the leading Polish banks. 

Iwona was an expert advising on resolution and liquidation of banks for the Banking Guarantee Fund in the scope of a working group of the Polish Financial Stability Committee. 

Her experience includes also advice to bankruptcy trustees.

Iwona is an expert on claims enforcement, secured transactions and bankruptcy, World Bank - the Doing Business Program.
During her work, Iwona was a member of the advisory team to one of the global telecommunication companies in course of international arbitration and litigation proceedings. 
Dispute value: ca. EUR 15 billion.

Iwona has provided legal assistance to Polish and international investors by the acquisition of companies and due diligence processes. 

Iwona`s experience includes also advice in day-by-day business, as well as in M&A and due diligence processes.     

Iwona has been also engaged in processes of legal due diligence in real estate transactions and in an advisory on real estate law to companies, local governments (e.g. City of Warsaw) and bankruptcy trustees. 

Her experience includes also advice, transaction work, representation before the public administration and other legal services provided to an international investor in processes of prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits.   

Iwona provided legal advising regarding the legal aspects of trusts activity in Poland. 

She also cooperates with the Coalition for Polish Innovation, solving the practical challenges of Distributed Ledger Technology. She takes part in processes of designing smart contracts and assets tokenisation, cooperating with developers of smart contracts,  DLT architects and IT/blockchain projects managers.
